Harbourcats starter Will Ballowe faced another 9 batters over two innings, leaving with bases loaded and nobody out in the third. On came versatile starter / reliever Scott Kuzminsky, who threw a little gas on the fire, allowing Walla Walla to plate 4 in the 3rd, and another 2 in the 4th before settling down to pitch four scoreless innings. Kuzminsky gave up 3 more in the top of 9 to round out the scoring for the Sweets.

Attendance was good to start the game at just shy of 1200 fans, but as the night went on, the score went up, and the wind chill found it's way down Pembroke St, the stands emptied. A long-ish game by Cats standards, clocking in at 2:46.
It's obvious from the first two games of this series, these are two teams heading in very different directions. The Sweets, powered by excellent starting pitching and timely hitting, are now atop the North Division, while Victoria continues to plummet downward, now 3 full games behind the Sweets. The squad looks tired, quiet, and little down on recent events. Perhaps a win in game three will turn the squad around prior to the all-star break...
The Cats conclude their three-game series against the Sweets Wednesday night at RAP.
